If you are interested in your son or daughter attending the Bridgwater College Academy the admission process, time and starting date will very much depend on which phase you are hoping to be able to join and when in the Academic year you would like to start.
Please look at our Parent/Carer Handbook which hopefully will answer most of your questions however please do feel free to contact the Academy if we can help further.
Arrangements are slightly different for those wishing to join the Nursery, Primary Phase, Secondary Phase either at the start of the year or mid-way through.
For all admission information please see our Admission Policies:
For all new admissions mid-way through the academic year the In Year Application form needs to be completed and returned to the main reception at the Academy.
If your son or daughter is starting school for the first time, or moving up from another primary school to secondary then please see the local authority information on how to apply to start school: http://www.somerset.gov.uk/education-learning-and-schools/choosing-a-school/apply-to-start-school/
In order to ensure that we are able to assist you in your request to join the Academy, please contact the main switchboard on 01278 727327, in order to be able to speak with the appropriate member of staff who will be able to guide you through this process.
If the Academy is full in a particular year group and your request for a place is declined, you will be sent a letter outlining the process of appeal and how to contact the local authority who manage the appeal process for the Academy. The timetable for the appeal process can be found at: http://www.somerset.gov.uk/education-learning-and-schools/choosing-a-school/appeal-a-school-admissions-decision/
