The FACE team at Bridgwater College Academy are here to support children & families.

Adrian Darby                                    

Intensive Family Support Lead.

Adrian has worked for the trust for some years now. His remit is supporting families and schools across the trust. He works one to one with children and parents. Adrian also runs Tuning into Teens courses which supports parents in understanding teenage development and relating behaviours. He has a 25-year history of supporting families. Adrian is well known and respected having previously managed family support teams at an organisation called Malachi across Birmingham and Somerset.

Val Bown            

Child and Family Support Worker.

Val has worked in education in a supportive role for 16 years. Val works alongside school teams to support children and families in improving attendance, mental health wellbeing and promote readiness to learn. This may involve working with an individual child as well as the family.

Sally Ann Bowes

Sally worked as a Paediatric Nurse in London for 10 years. Since then, Sally has worked as a Home/School Liaison Worker. Supporting families and providing a link between home and school. Sally works with families and individual students.
