Year group overviews
Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)
At Key Stage 3 students study a wide range of subjects before selecting their GCSE options in Year 9. All students have the opportunity to study English, Maths, Science, Spanish, History, Geography, World Views, Computer Science, Drama, Music, Art, DT, Food, and PE. Personal Development (including PSHE) is delivered as part of our tutorial programme.
Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11)
At Key Stage 4 students study a slightly smaller number of subjects than at Key Stage 3 as they work towards their final qualifications at BCA. All students sit the core subjects of English Language, English Literature, Maths, and Science. Students then select either Geography or History, and choose their remaining subjects from the following options: History, Geography, World Views, Spanish, Computer Science, iMedia, Engineering, Hospitality and Catering, Dance, Drama, Music, Art, Photography, and CamNat PE. In addition to this, all students continue with core PE lessons as well as studying core World Views, Personal Development (including PSHE), and Careers as part of our tutorial programme.
