Homework
Homework Policy Overview for Students/Parents - September 25
Arbor
All homework will be set by teachers on Arbor in the assignments section. Homework will be visible through student/parent portal. Student portal has been activated and all students can log in to Arbor through their school email address. Guardians will not receive notifications when homework is set but they can be sent email/text messages by teachers through Arbor when necessary.
Students can see assignments on their Arbor homepage and Guardians can view assignments and due dates through the Parent Portal or App.
Achievement Points/Detentions
Through Arbor, teachers can award five achievement points for completed homework, which contribute towards student swap shop or prom points.
Teachers can also record 'no homework' which is set as negative two behaviour points. If KS4 students have been logged as 'no homework', they will need to attend an after-school homework detention in AS2 where they will complete the missed homework. Students who do not have detention will also be permitted into these detentions, allowing them to complete upcoming homework.
Failure to attend after school homework detentions will result in an hour long after school detention on a Friday.
If a student has both a homework and a behaviour detention, they attend the homework detention as a priority and then attend a behaviour detention the following day.
