Sports DevELOPMENT Centre

Bridgwater College Academy Sports Development Centre is open to the public seven days a week outside of school hours. The purpose of the facility is to offer the Academy’s students, sports clubs and the wider community the chance to participate in a wide range of accessible and affordable sporting activities within a high quality and friendly environment. Falling under the management of Bridgwater College Academy, the Sports Development Centre facilities are primarily utilised during the week days to host PE lessons and after school activities, with the public use occurring at evenings and weekends.

The 4 court badminton court sports hall is available to hire for 5-a-side, badminton, basketball, birthday parties, dodgeball, futsal and many other sports/activities.

 The full size 3G pitch approved by FIFA and the Football Association is available to hire for casual and block booking football sessions.

 The Sports Centre also manages the use of the two full size grass football and rounders pitches that are available to be booked during community hours.
